Your Initial Appointment
Physiotherapy Intervention involves hands on treatment to reduce joint stiffness and restore normal joint movement as well as lengthening tight muscles, therapeutic exercise to improve strength, range of motion and endurance, and modalities to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
Your Initial Appointment Will Involve:
> Thorough patient history taking/recording allowing you to explain all relevant details pertaining to your injury and how it is affecting your quality of life, as well as your goals for treatment.
> Thorough Postural and Biomechanical Assessment
> Extensive education using models and diagrams explaining the actual cause of your injury or pain
> “Hands-on” treatment to promote positive change to reduce your pain in your first consultation
> Formulation of an appropriate rehabilitation program to be performed at the practice or at home or work
> Explanation of the most effective (and affordable) treatment protocol to cure your pain considering time and any monetary constraints (see fee structure)
